Dams
Mineração Morro do Ipê’s dams have been deactivated and have not received tailings since 2019. The company adopts new technologies to eliminate the need for traditional tailings dams and fully complies with the requirements of the National Mining Agency (ANM), conducting daily inspections and maintaining a Mining Tailings Dam Emergency Action Plan (PAEBM) to protect nearby communities.
Filter Press
Since 2019, Morro do Ipê has used filter press technology to treat tailings, eliminating the need for tailings dams. The system separates solid and liquid materials, with solid tailings stored and water reused in the process, ensuring greater sustainability and environmental safety.
Sustainability
